Annie & Eric’s Dreamy Engagement Session at the Kentucky State Capitol

I am beyond excited to finally share Annie and Eric’s engagement session on the blog! As you know, Kentucky weather can be unpredictable, and we had to reschedule this shoot a couple of times due to the weather. On their original session date, we were met with snow! But when we finally got the chance to meet up, the weather couldn’t have been more perfect—it was a stunning spring day, and everything fell into place beautifully. Their Engagement Session at The Kentucky Capitol Building was absolutely one for the books!

We kicked things off at the Kentucky State Capitol building, which is an absolute gem of a location! The architecture is already breathtaking, but the real magic happened as we walked around the grounds. The Capitol is lined with gorgeous trees, and we were lucky enough to catch them in full bloom, right when the tulips were at their peak. It was like the universe knew this session needed that extra touch of springtime magic!

A Little Mix-Up, But So Much Laughter

Now, a quick little funny moment: I may or may not have accidentally called Eric by the wrong name (oops! 🙈), but it didn’t stop us from having an amazing time. In fact, it just gave us all something to laugh about, and we were able to shake it off and enjoy the rest of the session! So, Annie and John (err, I mean Eric!), thank you for being such good sports and rolling with it. You both made the evening so enjoyable, and I can’t wait for everyone to see the beautiful photos we captured.

The chemistry between Annie and Eric was absolutely undeniable. These two are so in love, and it shines through in every single shot. I’m beyond thrilled with how these images turned out—they’re soft, romantic, and full of springtime warmth. It’s hard to believe that their September wedding is already just around the corner, and I couldn’t be more excited to celebrate with them this fall at Limestone Hall.
