Bride and Groom at Seelbach Hotel
Leah & Andys Spring Wedding at Cathedral of the Assumption & Seelbach Hotel – Photo by Natalie Kathryn Photo

Hey friends!! Happy Saturday! I am thrilled to share Leah and Andys wedding day with you. They got ready at the Seelbach Hotel, had their ceremony at Cathedral of the Assumption and went back to the Seelbach for their reception. We rode over to St James Court for their bridal party photos & some portraits which allowed for some fun on the party bus!!

I love the Seelbach Hotel – I am a huge fan of the history behind buildings and and how those details can truly bring you back in time. Leah and Andy had their reception in the Medallion Ballroom which is on the main level and I LOVED it. Its easily accessible and once you see how beautiful it looks, you will fall in love!

Some words from the Bride + Groom!

What inspired your wedding day details?

Andy and I were very much inspired by the Seelbach hotel and all of the gorgeous details. It made me want to create a day full of timeless details. The little gold details in our invitation suite, in my jewelry, in the place settings and more, were inspired by the hotel logo and staircase. Even the pops of blue within the hotel inspired my bridesmaid dress selection. We also were inspired by our friend who is an incredible artist and created all of our designs including the invitations, programs, table numbers, menus, and more (@littlehouseart). She is beyond talented and creative. We could not be more happy with the details of our day.

What was your favorite part of your wedding day?

Andy and I agreed that when we got to see each other walking down the aisle, we felt so much love and joy in that moment. It had to be our favorite part of the ceremony (besides actually getting married). At the reception, dancing with all our friends and family from all around the country was the highlight of the night. We felt so loved and our smiles never left our faces. It was a night we will never forget.

What advice would you give couples planning their wedding?

It’s easier said than done, but don’t sweat the small stuff. Don’t stress over every detail. No one will really remember the small things. Focus on what you want from your future marriage and lives together. Celebrate the little accomplishments with a date or a glass of wine, like signing with a vendor. Your wedding day goes by so fast, so pause throughout to look around you and soak in the people and the moment.

What was the biggest surprise on your wedding day?

One of Leah’s biggest surprises was the hand painted ribbon she received from her Mom (also painted by @littlehouseart). It had little paintings of memories that were important to the two of us. Andy’s favorite surprise was when his Dad went on stage and had the two of us compete in a guitar battle. It was hilarious, and so fun. Also a major surprise to the both of us.

How was working with the NKP team?

The NKP team was amazing. They brought bright, happy, supportive energy to the day. They helped us with posing, they respected our wishes in terms of pictures we wanted. They helped us stay on track with our timeline. They worked so well with our videographer! Not once did we feel uncomfortable, or stressed throughout the day! We had so much fun with them, and highly recommend to our friends and family. Not to mention, we are so in love with our pictures. Our day was captured in a way that went beyond our expectations. We will cherish these photos forever!
