Hey friends!! Happy Friday!! Todays blog post features Dara + Trents Downtown Louisville Engagement session at The Seelbach + Gerties Bar.

Trent and Dara had a gorgeous engagement session – despite the rain! On the day of their session it was a beautiful 65 but absolute torrential down pours! With only a few minutes of no rain between sessions, it pretty much rained the whole time. Thankfully, Lou has some beautiful locations for indoor spots! The Seelbach Hotel, one of Louisville’s most iconic landmarks, was the first stop on Trent and Dara’s engagement session. Known for its Beaux-Arts architecture and rich history, the hotel is a stunning example of old-world glamour, offering an elegant backdrop that made their session feel like a step back in time.

From the moment Trent and Dara arrived, it was clear that the Seelbach’s opulence perfectly matched their chic and sophisticated style. With its ornate chandeliers, grand staircase, and intricate detailing, the hotel provided the perfect setting for capturing intimate, romantic moments.

After capturing their elegant moments at the Seelbach, Trent and Dara headed to a completely different, yet equally stunning location: Gertie’s, a lively, upscale restaurant and bar in the heart of downtown Louisville. Known for its intimate, modern ambiance and a favorite local spot for cocktails and conversation, Gertie’s added a touch of urban charm and playfulness to their session.

The change in scenery—from the grand opulence of the Seelbach to the cool, contemporary vibe of Gertie’s—allowed Trent and Dara to show a more relaxed and fun side of their personalities. Gertie’s sleek interior, with its rich wood accents, cozy lighting, and chic bar area, became the perfect backdrop for intimate, candid moments between the couple. Whether they were sharing a laugh at the bar or playfully toasting to their future, their love radiated throughout every frame.

Dara and Trent are getting married this May at The Refinery. Our team will be photographing their wedding and I just know it’ll be a gorgeous day!
