Happy Friday, friends!! Today’s blog post features Katy and Spencers’ Waterfront Botanical Gardens and Seelbach Engagement Session!

Last Thursday, I had the privilege of photographing Katy and Spencers’ Engagement Session at the Waterfront Botanical Gardens and Seelbach! They are getting married next June at the Seelbach and I am so so excited for their day!

Honestly, I am always nervous walking into an engagement session. I always tell my clients that it takes 10-15 minutes to truly feel comfortable in front of the camera and I think it also takes 10-15 minutes till I start feeling comfortable too! Even though I literally do this every weekend, I still feel nervous meeting my couples and having them in front of my camera for the first time. They are putting their day’s memories in my hands and that is not a task I take lightly!! Very soon after we started their engagement session, I could just tell it was all going to be great! I am so glad I get the privilege to photograph these two and capture their best day!

They are getting married at the Seelbach in the Grand Ballroom. This is actually where Daisy and Tom get married in The Great Gatsby! Their wedding was also in June and it was reportedly so hot that one of their guests fainted! Thankfully, due to modern air conditioning, I think we will be ok! I am a HUGE fan of historic charm and love all the beauty and architecture behind the Seelbach.
