Hi friends!! I’m baaaaackkkkk!! I took a little hiatus to welcome the newest member of our family – Ben! Now we are back in the swing and I am playing a lil bit of catch up for my blog posts but golly, we had such a beautiful summer with our couples and Katy + Spencers June wedding at the Seelbach Hotel was one of them!!

I absolutely love these two! I walked in on the wedding day and felt like it was a family members wedding. Getting ready was so calm, their ceremony was beautiful and the reception was a PARTY! I am a HUGE fan of live bands and Juice Box Heroes are on of my favorites. If you scroll to the bottom of the blog post, you will see how interactive they are with the couple but also the guests. I am a firm believer that your DJ/MC/ Live Band will make or break the feel of your reception and these guys literally always kill it. Here are a few words from our beautiful bride :

What inspired your wedding day details?

The Seelbach Hotel is so beautiful and classic – we knew we didn’t need much to make the space what we wanted. The original inspiration was simply the color sage – that turned into a pallet of greens, gold, beige, and white – which became the colors of dresses, groomsmen accessories, and floral arrangements

What was your favorite part of your wedding day?

The reception. Our goal was to celebrate with our family and friends with dinner and a private concert, and that’s exactly how the evening panned out.

What advice would you give couples planning their wedding?

Start early – we had all our vendors chosen and deposits submitted over a year out. This allowed us to enjoy the process and not feel overwhelmed at any point. Also, ask for help when needed! Also a day of planner is a MUST.

What was the biggest surprise on your wedding day?

Truly the biggest surprise was seeing the ceremony/reception space “dressed up” for us. We had been planning and daydreaming what we wanted our day to look like for so long – finally seeing it in person was so satisfying.

How was working with the NKP team?

SO. MUCH. FUN. Natalie did our engagement photos 14 months before our wedding. The three of us clicked right away. When she arrived on our wedding day it was as if we were reunited with a friend! Natalie and her team make everything so easy, comfortable, and fun! A true professional through and through!
