A Summer wedding at Hazelnut Farm Events with Luke and Lydia

Hi there and happy Wednesday! Luke and Lydia are being featured on our blog to day and their Summer Wedding at Hazelnut Farm Events was absolutely gorgeous.

We are currently hit with a giant snow storm here in Kentucky but back in July, the weather was quite different! Luke and Lydia had a summer wedding at Hazelnut Farm Events and it was one of my absolute favorites of 2024. I loved the personal touches throughout including the cake made my Lydias dad – we also had a family member make our cake (my grandma) and I just love that and think it is so special. This wedding day was classic and timeless but included SO many fun moments. One of my favorite of those moments was the choreographed routine that their family did at the reception and let me tell you, they LOVE to dance.

The Venue : Hazelnut Farm Events proved to be the perfect choice for couples looking for a venue that blends natural beauty with elegant rustic charm. With its picturesque settings, breathtaking views, and impeccable service, it’s easy to see why Luke and Lydia’s wedding day was such a success. Whether you’re dreaming of an intimate ceremony surrounded by nature or a lively celebration in a charming barn, this venue offers a little something for everyone.

Here are a few notes from the bride and groom!

What inspired your wedding day details?

Luke and I knew we wanted our wedding to feel romantic and elegant. Growing up, Beauty and the Beast was one of my favorite movies and I always thought the candelabras all throughout the film looked so stunning, so I knew I wanted to incorporate some into my wedding. They brought that touch of elegance we were wanting at our reception. We both wanted a color palate that felt inviting and bright, and I of course had to add a touch of pink which is my signature color. I really wanted our reception to feel like a ballroom you would see in Bridgerton, so thats what drew me to the flowers we chose. I wanted to keep that effortlessly elegant feel in the centerpieces.

What was your favorite part of your wedding day?

We had the best team of people with us for our wedding day from Natalie and her team, our day of coordinator, to our dj, and so many other people who made sure we were able to still have little initmate moments with each other while also feeling right in the middle of the celebration with all of our friends and family. We will always appreciate those little moments we had alone together to soak in every detail of the day.

What advice would you give couples planning their wedding?

Enjoy every step. It sounds cliche but it really is so easy to stress over the smallest details and while it is important to make sure your day is everything you want, be sure to also stop and enjoy the process because it goes by way too fast.

How was working with the NKP team?

Amazing!! I can’t explain enough how comfortable and confident Natalie and her team made us feel. Luke and I can both be shy at times, but from our engagement session to our wedding portraits Natalie helped us both shine in every picture she took.
