Hey friends! Today we are featuring Kate and Patricks Wedding at The Galerie in Versailles Kentucky. Versailles Kentucky is a small town right outside Lexington but is home to a bunch of beautiful venues. Not only is The Galerie in Versailles but so is The Kentucky Castle & Heartland of Versailles to name a couple. We love The Galerie because it truly is a classic venue and has beautiful natural light and bright interior that really helps photos shine.

Kate and Patrick are an incredible couple. I loved running around Lexington for their engagement session and loved being back with them for their wedding day. It was absolutely lovely seeing how sweet their family is and just the joy that you could feel between them and everyone in attendance. I think you can really see that in their photos from their day.

What inspired your wedding day details?

I wanted something light, traditional, and classic! As for the colors, orange has always been my favorite color and I felt adding pinks and peach in there would really complement it. With us getting married in July, I wanted bright but floral!

What was your favorite part of your wedding day?

My favorite part of my wedding day was probably getting to see Patrick at the end of the alter. It was such an ethereal moment. In addition to that, getting to mix our family and friends was pretty special as well. A lot of out of town friends and family attended so it was fun to introduce and mingle with those we don’t get to see too often!

What advice would you give couples planning their wedding?

Start early (if possible) and give yourself grace! It is one day and it will fly by, don’t be too hard on yourself about the little things! No matter what, you and your fiancé will be married and that in itself makes for a beautiful day!

What was the biggest surprise on your wedding day?

The biggest surprise on our wedding day was actually how fast it flew by. Everyone kept telling us that the day would be over before you knew it but for some reason, I never believed them. However, looking back it was over before I felt it started!

How was working with the NKP team?

Working with Natalie and Sydney was fantastic! We had a relatively big bridal party and I can imagine that wrangling 12 people on a day like that can be exhausting, however, they did it with ease and were so fun. They kept the wedding party engaged and excited even through the Kentucky summer heat and Pat and I couldn’t be more thankful!
